air system problem...

A few weeks ago on a dreadful hot afternoon I found out my air conditioning AND "cold" air setting doesn't work. The A/C seemed to blow hotter air than what the fresh air blew. I had the temperature set to 18*C and it seemed to be blowing out 28*C air. This is AFTER the car had been running for over 15 minutes to warm up...
What is wrong? Along with that it doesn't seem like my defrost works that well too, especially on my back window.

WHAT is WRONG with the A/C and cool temperature settings?????

You may need more free-on(spell), refrigerant is a better word.

Would it have leaked out or is this a normal problem?

If it leaked out, it is a normal problem.The seals won't last forever.

Take it to a qualified a/c shop. You need a set of manifold gauges to properly diagnose the problem.

edit: you live in Canada, just roll your windows down.

It still gets hot up here,,,




I will take it to an A/C place for them to check the freon out.
