Ok, so I have been having some issues here and need the mk3 electrical gurus to chime in...
I have a blown lamp failure box. The tails do not illuminate at all, in any position on the combination switch. The side markers all work as they should. The brake lights still work, with the headlights on or off. That rules out a bad brake switch. I just swapped the combination switch on the steering column and put in a known good lamp failure box. I turned the headlights on. Ok...I have lights. I tap the brakes, and they stick on.
I have a multimeter, but I don't really know how to use it. What should I check/replace, and how?
Is it possible to just run completely new wiring, without the lamp failure box? How would I go about doing this?
Thanks guys
Tom
