Advice from the pros please... :)

So I've been waiting for a fixer upper supra for a while now.

I'm looking for a "learning experience" supra meaning:

-doesn't need to run well, or even at all ( I actually WANT to put in some wrench time here )
-cant cost much to begin with
-will most likely be an N/A

Now with that aside, I'm looking for some advice from any of you guys that have bought cheap supras and what your experiences have been.

I found one with some unknown electrical problems, but have heard the sups can be electrical nightmares.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU GUYS HAVE FOR GETTING A LOW BUDGET SUPRA?

it's not low budget...

best advice I can give you, as electrical nightmares need to be fixed right (or risk burning things up...including the car)

I spent ~$1K just to fix all my electrical issues on my car (new engine wiring harness, new CPS, some new sensors).

personally I'd find a clean car and work from there it will be MUCH more rewarding...

Poodles is right - be on the lookout for a CLEAN Supra, with a BHG or rod knock.

Avoid electrical problems at all costs!

yeah electrical problems can be a nightmare even for experienced guys. You could get lucky and it could be simple, but whats that saying about murphy's law

I agree look for a clean supra, be careful for rust, look everywhere, inside fenders, under trim, in wheelwells. Try to find one with a blown tranny, BHG or rod knock as stated before.
