I dont have a compressor in front of me to verify this so ANYBODY that has the comp. or has ac in their car, count the number of ribs on the ac pulleys and is there a switch port on the bottom of the comp?

its either 4 or 5 ribs and no port on the bottom or a port on the bottom,

also can one of you run a tape measure across the top of the condensor to see how long it is, and if you can reach it see how tall it as as well? :1zhelp:

trying to track down a compressor and some lines and this would help greatly!

Dunno if it'll help but the stock compressor is a Denso 10PA17C..

i did a few days ago when i read another posts of yours stating that! :biglaugh:

that comp is used in many cars with several variations in rib count and what ever this port is that is on the bottom (or isnt), but im sure you already knew that :icon_surp

you know you want to play with your tape measure jetjock!:naughty:

4 ribs, no port I can see. I know for a fact there's no switch there in a stock system but using a mirror I can't see any port. 26 X 13 or 14 for the condenser. Tough to get the top to bottom exact.

thank you sir!!! :bigthumb:

any pics you feel like takin Kckazdude would be helpful as well!

If you have wires coming out of the bottom of a compressor, it is a revolution sensor. On later model cars with speed sensor compressors, if the speed of the compressor shaft becomes slower than the engine speed, the a\c amplifier shuts off the clutch relay incase the clutch is slipping so it doesn't keep slipping and burn up all sorts of crap.

7M a\c systems do not need this, but some 1j cars, (soarer, chaser, not supra) and 2j cars need it.
