i bought this supra last august and am just no getting into it due to a a little trip to afganistan. so this morning i went to start putting the interior back together and noticed that the trunk wouldn't open with the lever on the floor board so i crawled back to the trunk and popped it. then i got out and discovered that the previous owner had put a push button popper on it and had disabled the key and the lever at the same time. so what im trying to figure out is how the cables are supposed to hook into the latch. also if no one has a picture of this area then if anyone knows if the latch and cable from an 88 supra would work. the only reason i ask is because i have both an 88 and a 90 and im parting out the 88 for the 90. also the cable from the 88 is about a foot longer than the one in the 90. the cable in the 90 also has this block that conects it straight to the key and thats it, is there something that is supposed to go from the lever inside the car to the latch in the trunk. any help is appreciated thanks.
