Well I won a remanufactured Beck Arnley Distributor for my 89 on ebay for 62.00. When I got mine apart I found some interesting things I though Id share. First thing I found was a Sealed Bearing on the upper shaft, lower shaft bearing is just an oilite type bushing, that leaked oil through the bearings and into the housing, some of it ran under the Electronics and eveidently caused the bakelite to breakdown and crack leading to voltage leaks into the housing. I thought it was cool how Toyota used a sealed Bearing on the upper shaft so that over time the air gap wouldnt change, just like all the new MSD distributors, gotta love that. Just keep an eye out for oil, cause it will breakdown bakelite plastic. Aaron Thank You for your offer, I still would like to get up there and meet you sometime.
