88 7MGTE into 90 body questions

I recently purchased a 88 Turbo supra as a parts car. I didn't even think of the differences between pre 89 and post 89.

My question is how hard would it be to swap the 88 Turbo electronics into my 90 n/a? I have everything on the 88 and everything on the 90.

Im going to guess because you've asked that question you have never even pulled an engine. As far a the word (difficult) goes if you can pull the engine and harness with ease, it should be easy. But this topic has been covered so if you wanna look into (how) you can do it, we have a search function.

I don't think it is going to work. Because the body plug of your 88 won't plug into your 90. I wouldn't even consider hard wired it in. I'd get a turbo harness from a 90 and call it a day. I've done the hardwired and believe me, its not worth it.

That's what I was wondering. If I get a 90 harness, can I still use the 88 Ecu?

u would need a grey plugged ecu (89-92)
