7MGTE or 1JZGTE bell housing?

Hey all,

Sorry If I am posting this in the wrong place, or this has already been covered. I tried searching and couldn't find anything.

I was wondering which bell housing belongs to a 1JZGTE? I bought an R154 from a guy who told me it came from a Soarer. Because of that, you'd think it would already have a 1JZ bell housing. But then I came across a thread on an Australian Supra forum talking about the differences between the 1JZ and 7M bell housing. From what the guy said, the one on the left is the 1JZ bell housing. But mine looks a lot like the one on the right, so now I'm not sure. I am still asking because he put a disclaimer about his research saying that his information may not be accurate. So if anyone could confirm for me which bell housing is which, that would be great!

Sorry for sounding like a newb, but that's what I am when it comes to XJZ stuff.

PS - I need a 1JZ bell housing, so If I have the wrong one, and if anyone has one for sale, I would be extremely interested in buying it.

pretty sure the one with the fork in it is the JZ bellhousing. rounded on bottom, starter further from top

yea the bell housing on the left is off a 1jz and the bell housing on the right is off a 7mgte. i have two r154 in front of me one from a 1jz and one from 7m

Damn. Looks like I got screwed...Does that 1JZ bell housing happen to be for sale?
