Ok, so i had an issue with my 1jz pump so i scored a 2jzge pump from a SC300, i have it all installed but i ran into a problem....

The coolant passage O ring piece doesnt line up with the main coolant upper passage...

Please help!!!

Does the 2JZGE pump even work for the 1JZ, or does it need to be a 2JZGTE pump????

from what i heard only a 2jzgte pump will work on a 1jz if the 1jz is a clutch fan type. those water pumps are the same exact piece and use the same part number.

I have the hydro fan water pump, but the pulley got stripped out and now i dont have a water pump so i pulled a SC300 pump and housing thinking it would work... Welp the coolant bypass holes dont line up... Any suggestions????

well, you have a couple of options.
if only the pulley on the hydro fan setup was messed up you could order a new one, part number 16939-46010, nut is 90179-12104.
second option is to go ahead and order the 2jzgte pump assembly, part number 16100-49845 or 16100-49846. this includes the pump and it's housing.
i presume you already have the pulley with sc300 pump you got, that is the same pulley as comes on a soarer with a 1jzgte and also the 2jzgte. the fan fluid coupling for the sc300 is the same part number as the one on a 2jzgte so you should be ok there if you have it. you also would need a fan. if you got the one from the sc300, that's the same one as a NA mk4 supra, might work for you.

umm, jeff is THE parts guy at champion toyota. his number is 800-327-2087. no offense but i'm just a bit stunned that you don't know who he is. for more years than i know about he's been shipping parts to supra owners all over the U.S. and i've been getting parts for my 87 from him for 10 years now. would bet 7 out of 10 supra owners have his number in their cell phones.

ya know, i'm now wondering why the original pulley stripped on you? did the pump seize up? if it did then you need to replace that too. was the nut just not tight? wtf happened?
