2jz-ge vs. 1jz-gte with a.t.

Hi, have this problem, cant deside what to do
Have Lexus sc300 (when I saw it, could resist on selling my 500rwhp mk3 and buy this thing) with 3.0l n/a on auto tranny.
I`m shure I`ll go for a 500hp daily driver, but cant deside how to do it better (read cheaper)
Since I`m addicted to auto tranny, no longer interested in manual, but not shure if my a/t capable of such load.
Here, in Estonia, on the junk jard rests soarer with 1jz-gte a/t and gte mk3 m/t, both cheap.

what to do? Go for a 2jz n/a -> T or to do a swap 1jz-gte, and is it possible to leave an a/t ?
btw cant find find thread how to combine 1jz/2jz with r154.
