hey guys, I was wondering how many 2 step options we have for our cars. My original plan was to go AEM, so I didnt think to much of it, since aem has it built in. More and more now, Im thinking about maft-pro, which does everything I need EXCEPT a 2 step, which is pretty important to me. I read somewhere about some MSD product? but half the people were flaming it saying it didnt work, I didnt think to much of it since at the time I was still planning on going aem. Im kinda stuck now and I dont know which route to take.

anybody here know anything about 2 steps for our cars?

and since I already have your attention... wanna share some opinions on my aem vs maft-pro battle?

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Maft-Pro vs AEM...

From a cost standpoint, Maft-Pro. It doesn't have the functionality and flexibility of AEM, but it's got a lot of good points, and for the money, the only way you can beat it is MegaSquirt EMS.

From a functionality standpoint: AEM hands down. It's plug and play, does 99.7% of what you could ever want, and it has great flexibility.

Going to Maft-Pro + something that has 2-step is getting very complicated, and probably getting a bit too close to what AEM will cost for how much work you'll be putting into it.
Just think, stock ECU + Maft-Pro + MSD... that's just too much stacking of electronics for me. I've thought about it and I will be doing AEM or some other standalone, possibly Wolf3d. From what Ian's been documenting, I like it.
