Does it matter which way this belt goes on? Any specific orientation in regards to its rotation, or any marking on the belt that should line up with any timing mark on the engine's pulleys?
Now just to figure out how to get this stinking thing on. If only it were about 3/4 of an inch longer I could get it around the last pulley and then go about installing the tensioner.
Yep, I figured it out. Got it around all 3 pulleys, bout halfway on the crank pulley and then routed it inside the idler pulley, and then wiggled it the rest of the way onto the crank pulley. Got the tensioner on right after, rotated it 720 degrees and then several more times and everything was still in time. It was a success.
