1jz Igniter and ECU needed to diagnose

Hi everyone. I'm hoping there is someone near me who can lend me a 1jz igniter and maybe an ecu for a few hours to diagnose a problem with my swap. Car starts up and runs for a few seconds, but it doesn't want to stay running and is getting a code 14.

The ecu looks to be in perfect condition on the inside after 2 very thorough inspections. No leaking caps or damaged board paths, so I think it may be the igniter.

I am in Stroudsburg, PA which is right near the Delaware Water Gap and Columbia, NJ. Can anyone please help me with this? I really need to get my car running.

Just a helpful hint for you and the helper: It might be safer if you bring your ecu and ign to their car, that way if there is a short or some other snafu in your car, it won't break their gear. Thats how we do it here atleast. Best of luck! The 2j ign will work for you as well.

Since igniter failure is fairly rare, and your symptoms sound like the ones I had, I'm inclined to say the caps in the ECU have failed despite what they may look like. Mine all looked fine too, but they weren't.

If you know someone with some soldering skills and time then it's not a very expensive repair and it's worth it for the peace of mind anyhow.

Also, I want to add that your ECU working in another car may not prove anything. When mine went bad I put it in a friends car and it ran fine. (I'm not sure how to explain that, but it happened)
