So I thought I finished up the wiring today, and went to see if it would start.

It cranks, hiccups a couple times, dies, then continues to crank with nothing.
I've been at this shit all day so I'm too hungry to rip at my wiring and do it over.

any ideas on what might cause this?

It's an JZX90 ECU and wiring, all stock.

Referenced several write ups as well as a few pinout sheets, and redid my wiring a couple times to no avail.

So I went back to the basics of spark, air and fuel.

Obviously getting air. Check.
The fuel pump is on and the exhaust wreaks of gas. Check.
Spark I had to pull the coil packs and plugs out.

The spark plugs were black and soaked in fuel.
So I checked spark to begin with, and only a couple were actually sparking.
Cleaned them all thoroughly, and managed to get 4 to spark, and 2 to actually have a strong spark.

So I think my problem may not be wiring at all, it may be a shitty set of spark plugs.

Anybody ever had a problem with bad plugs?
They're the ones that came with the engine, so god knows how old/used they are.

Also, open up your ECU and check for blown caps (fluid leaked onto printed circuit board). >>> Could cause overfueling.

I fixed my map sensor wiring after going into limp mode.(super rich)
Tried starting it after and not even a hiccup.
Heated, torched the plugs and vroom, ended up using those plugs for the rest of the season.:naughty:
