Does anybody have an idea what size / thread type the screws that hold the license plate on for the rear? Finally re registered the car after 7 years and don't have the screws anymore. I tried m6 x 1 but they were too big. If all else fails I'll park outside the hardware store and try every...
Hi,
I have 88 NA that I haven't driven in a couple of years. It has been stored in my garage and had NO cold start / engine idle issues in the past. I have gotten the itch to drive it again but getting it to start from a cold start is tougher to start than my dads 1929 Model A Ford. Below is...
Hi,
I have been doing some troubleshooting in the usual starter solenoid clicking nightmare. Been dealing with this for years and now its gotten to the point where there is about a 10% chance it will start turning the key.
Steps taken so far:
1. New battery (no change)
2. New starter...
I can't stand to look at the rear trim anymore and was wondering what was the cheapest price people have had to pay for new trim and where from. Donor cars trim around here is as bad as mine is if not worse. I would rather just pay for new ones and not have to worry about it for another 20...
I went to the hardware store and cut me about a 4 foot cable that looked about twice as thick as picture wire. Took me approx 20 minutes by myself. It was a good arm workout for sure, but wasn't as bad as I thought. What did you guys do to clean that 3m windo-weld sticky tar shit off with...
Hi,
I need to replace my back hatch glass. I was able to get another hatch (different color no spoiler holes) from a local guy for $75. I started working on trying to remove the glass with a long razor which has really gotten me nowhere. I bought a cold knife off ebay...
Hi,
I have a upper control arm that while I was changing out the bushings, I disturbed the tar like substance on the top that I think seals the ball joint. I think I need to get some more of this "tar" so I can seal it up better. What is this stuff called and can I get it at your typical...
I doubt you can get it out while on the car. I bought a 20 ton harbor freight press ($150 bucks with coupon) for this project and it took alot to squeeze one of those sob out. Also, you might as well take them all out, as a couple of mine were shot with 160k miles on them.
Hi,
Yeah it doesn't show the clip either. I think its like other parts where you have to order the whole cable to get the stupid clip. I ended up ordering the whole cable from advanced auto for 30 bucks.
thanks,

Hi,
I need some help finding a part number for a clip that keeps the ebrake cable from pulling itself out of the dust cover. I'll try to describe it a little better. It is a little piece of steel (3/4 inch long) that goes around the end of the cable and has little tabs that expand out like a...
I'm putting in my es poly bushings and on the front uppers the flange side of the bushing goes on the outer side of the arms correct? I took this apart months ago and cant remember...
Just double checking..

Hi,
When replacing my upper control arm bushings I found that my uca ball joint rubber boots on each side were cracked pretty bad. The ball joints themselves are not loose and look really clean. I've gotten new rubber boots but want to pack the boots full of grease before I put them on...
I would contact tigerjapanese.com and tell them you have started a thread on this website about an engine that you purchased from their company. From a customer service / PR standpoint, I would think they would want to take care of you and resolve the issues you are describing and then you can...
