+2, I just did mine, hks head gasket with arp's...i ran into a problem with the re-torque, i stripped the 14th bolt and had to heli coil it, it worked but it took 2 weeks downtime so be careful
Does it work? and second Why is it that my interior lights only work when theres something wrong with my car? (BHG, Spun rod bearing, Broken valve) and its not a fuse... could it be my turn signal switch?
blew a head gasket about a week ago, so i cleaned the pistons and head, ported the intake runners and exhaust and im waiting on arp bolts and a metal head gasket...cant wait to feel the fruits of my labor
Bullshit...smokey nagata did 190 in europe with a 500hp 3sgte in a mk4...if you knew anything about it you would know its the most tuned motor made by toyota (self proclaimed by toyota), so much so they sent it to yamaha to do the internals
I was wondering if anyone ever done/heard about the swap in a MK3...
i know its been done in the mk4 and later but i really want to do it in mine,

Agreed-I first started the touge in my 85, it was nice cause even when the tires were screaming i still felt i had control, really fun car to throw around the corners. till it got impounded...the 88 i have now on the other hand is heavier (about 600lbs. :3d_frown: ) for that fact its a bit more...
i had an 85, i personally like the way the 5m is built but i like the 7m power, ive heard this swap being done (and wanted to do it myself for a while) but never heard of people doing it this good, the ITB's are Insane...RESPECT

Funny story, i went up the mountain the other week and from out of nowhere the tensioner pulley for the A\C fell off along with the belt, The ECU does put a code out for the a\c signal (51 i think), I didn't think it would effect the idle...
