    MKIII finally!

In a strange turn of events, the rx-7 i was selling got totaled and i'm getting a MKIII out of it. I pick it up tomorrow. 1990 Turbo, white exterior, burgundy interior. targa. just what I wanted... minus the interior color, but it was the late 80's early 90's... you can't blame toyota for what...

    Fuel cut / Ignition cut?

thats basicly all i wanted to know right there. I had read somewhere else that it cut ignition, but i kind of doubted that as no other manufacturer that i know of uses that method of rev limiting (for emissions / catalytic converter life issues im sure)

    Fuel cut / Ignition cut?

I was reading in the FAQ's somewhere about power upgrades to the 7m and how you eventually hit fuel cut. Somewhere (i believe on supraforums) it was mentioned that the ecu is not really cutting fuel when you hit "fuel cut", butis cutting the spark. Is this true? If it is, could there be a way...

I see a lot more good condition rx-7's for sale than MKIII's so it doesn't worry me too much to try and find another FC later on thats in good condition. and to be honest, the 7 is nice, but its not really growing on me. I wanted a MKIII for such a long time i just need to go do it and get...

lol, trying to do that too. selling a convertible in the winter time is like trying to sell a motorcycle. people just aren't interested until the weather is nice out. by then i'll probably have 17" bbs' on and want to keep the thing :) people shy away from higher mileage rotaries too, even...

Well I joined a few months back when I was looking for a MKIII. Couldn't find one in my price range at the time. I ended up with a 89 RX-7 convertible with a turbo II motor swap. It was a great deal as the car came with enough spare / performance parts to fill a 5x10 storage unit, and a v8 swap...

red88soup, i'm asking 11,500 for the car, but i'm pretty flexible on the price. There is a ton of other stuff done to the car other than the engine swap. Shoot me an email and i can give you the lowdown on it. on the subject of weight, how much does the targa top weigh in at? I know removing...

the closest the 240 would see to a 1jz is doing the 2.4 stroker on the rb. if I get a jz, it's going into a MKIII. now, given unlimited funds...

dang it IJ, you had me scared for a second there until I scrolled down. How much heavier are MKIII's? 240's weigh in around 2800-3000lbs jesus, Duane 814hp? like spanking vipers on a regular basis? is that a street driven car?

Just wanted to say hello to everyone on here. I've been browsing and have seen some very nice MK3's on here. I'm Neil, I'm currently driving a RB20DET Swapped 240sx. I love the car, but it's time to move on. So it's for sale. if it sells, the next purchase will be a mk3 supra. Until I get one...
