    Need help identifying ecu component

So, I ordered three 2SD2162's through www.utsource.net and have received them. I've installed them and the ecu works fine again :) @ Evil, yes, they drive the injectors and I can't remember what exactly I did wrong. It had to do with the wiring. It was a couple of years ago just before I went...

    Need help identifying ecu component

So I tried the TIP122's today. The car started and ran for a few seconds but died because it went pig rich. Tried it a couple of times; same result. (I do have a working Blitz ecu which is normally used in the car, just to be clear on this.) It is a step forward as before the car wouldn't even...

    Need help identifying ecu component

Now that you mention it, yes, I think you're right. I purchased the TIP122's today as these were the only ones the local radio shop had. The NEC's were quite hard to get hold of over here (The Netherlands) the guy said.

    Need help identifying ecu component

Hi, This is from a Blitz 1jz ecu. The three circled thyristors need replacement, they are part of the injection. The problem is that because they are fried I cannot measure what they should be to get replacements. The numbers on them (NEC D2162 K 08) don't give me anything on the web, I've only...

Supramania's Elite Engine bay Thread...ZERO progress pics.

These are some upskirt pics of my supra, I hope they're elite enough. :) After some years of trial and error it is now fully circuit-proof. Amongst other improvements to make it circuit-proof I've installed heat plates and quite a bit of heat wrapping. Btw, it's a 1.5jz

spark plug, need part# for colder plug

actually, the ngk 3330, which is the BCPR7ES is one step warmer from the plugs I use now (BCR8ES) the number in the ngk part# tells you the heat range; the higher the colder

spark plug, need part# for colder plug

Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated. I'll lower the gaps first to see if that improves things. Thinking about purchasing a spark amplifier as well. btw, meanwhile continued searching and found the ngk 2669 (BKR9EIX) I read they use them in high powered supra's (2jz) with succes.

spark plug, need part# for colder plug

I'm running NGK BCR8ES plugs, but I would like to go one step colder because I'm suffering from some spark-knock/pre-ignition and want to try to see if I can cure it with a colder plug. However, the BCR9ES does not exist, the '8' is the coldest for that plug-type. I like that type of plug...

    brake MC problem

I wanted to do a brake fluid change as I have done many times before on my supra (and other cars). Because I had been working on the car mostly last few years in stead of driving it I hadn't done a change for a few years and the times I did drive it was on the tracks, so I decided to let all the...

yep, that's correct he got this engine this way from a mkiii straight from japan, it has been tuned over there and he didn't touch the cam gears

    performance spark plug (need advice)

stock - bpu > IK22 higher boost > IK24 i personally have bad experience with iridiums, the electrode broke off from 3 plugs and damaged head, valves and pistons i've also seen another engine having this same problem the electrode on a copper plug is much stronger, they perform better up to...

did a compression test this weekend

you're confusing the overlap during the intake/outlet stroke with the compression/combustion stroke; then valves are all shut like wedge says thanks :)

did a compression test this weekend

Yes, that's the best way to compare heads; use stock ones. As far as i could tell this was the first time the head was surfaced; no signs of milling. Camgears don't influence compression numbers, leaking valves or leaking rings will. Hope your compression numbers turn out good as well. ;)

did a compression test this weekend

don't forget the valves play a big role in compression too ;) yes, i know that, but has anyone actualy measured this?

did a compression test this weekend

Yo Dre, do you have a link to someone who's measured this? I've never seen any proof of this.

    1.5 JZ with stock twins

i drove around for over a year with that set-up and yes if you're carefull you can bend the oil feed and drain, that's what i did it is an 'instant boost' set-up, really good fo daily drive, but it chokes up top though i didn't put it on dyno
