seems like everyone is saying coils..? well i had this similar problem with a different car (a honda civic) and like you said, when u accelerate it sounds like a Subaru. thats the exact thing that happened to me. What fixed it was new coils. and also just make sure everything is staying dry...

i agree with the Toyo Proxes. At first glance you would think otherwise with the V Groove tread, i only used them in the summer and they have little tread wear, and good in the rain/wet. my .02

sry forgot something, once it is formatted to FAT32, is it simply copy and paste onto the drive and then plug and play?

with the partition magic thing, will it guide me through formatting into FAT32? i am horrible at this stuff lol. How would i go about getting partition magic, or could i have "per say" circuit city or something do the formatting for me? im sure this is tedious for you but im really thankful...
