I bought the shaftmasters for my 89. It shipped in about 5 days. Looks real good quality... won't know how it actually holds up until I get my motor running.

Just remember, if you buy a JDM motor your buying a "Used" engine. I spent $1600 for a full rebuild on my motor, which included a MHG and i've got over 20,000 miles on her now and i've beat the snot outta it. That's only maybe $700 more than going with a "Used" JDM.

I'm running a Walbro 255. Stock injectors, Stock regulator. I can boost to 13 psi... i hite fuel cut around 14 psi.
The J-tube is not bypassed.
I get the occational backfire. Never see any black smoke. Been running the same spark plugs for 20k miles on my rebuilt motor. She still runs...
I'd take my turbo off and just get the wastegate ported, but this is my Daily Driver so it's something i cant just do in a day...
I did buy a used CT-26 so i guess it's gonna get sent out for an upgrade and port job.
Just having my Walbro 255 somehow allows me to boost to atleast 14 psi without hitting FC...
If i gotta pull the turbo and port the wastegate, i might as well just upgrade it and get my fuel mods as well...
