Mine had the same issues. Replaced the serp belt tensioner. That did not fix it. Replaced the timing belt tensioner and idler pulley sound went away.

i dont have said vacuum on my power steering. it will maintain rpm just fine.

the 1jz i have in my 86.5 and running only has one o2. as far as extending the main harness, i wouldnt. the ecu plug ins will reach. the m1 and b1 pluge are the only ones i had to splice. i took the original 7m harness and cut the connectors off with about 12 inches of harness on them. spliced...

then why dont you lift or put spacers on the other engine mount? you have more room under the hood than you think. ive had a 350 in my car at one point.. you will have room. but idealy you should buy mounts.

I did the 1jz swap last winter.. the mounts I had to buy. The 7m mounts and 1jz mounts would not work. I had the same issue. Went out sat and dynoed my 88. It's a factory auto turbo car, 1jz chaser auto swap. 3in turbos back, 3i. Intake. 3400 stall, two piece drive shaft. Part supra/sc300 drive shaft. Factory lsd 391. 13 psi on the twins. Made 271 whp and 258 wtq. 3rd gear pull.

I did my swap a few months ago. 88 turbo chassis, jzx90 auto swap. Only had to cut and extend everything but the ecu harness. It's a tight fit but works.

Following this. I just put a 3400 stall in my 1j mk3. Also did 3inch stainless turbos back. Now I get a hesitation until engine is warm.. it's also running lean as can be. Adding my trd afpr next week. Hopefully that's all that's wrong..
