I put a 7MGE back into my car, runs great. If I still have the car when the 7MGE quits or throws a major number I'll look at the 2 JZGTE, but keep this in mind a good 2JZGTE swap out will cost you between $6K & $8K depending on how much of the work you do your self.

A good rebuild on a 7mgte or 7mge engine will run you about $3250, $1300 sounds like it's only a head job and not a vary good one at that, especially in Sacramento. I saved about $1500 going the JDM route, I admit it was some what of a gamble, but it work out for me.
