    Looks like its about the right length for a oil line for a turbo. I don't think it looks ling enough to be a oil/tranny cooler line but thats just me.

    Vacuum problem

    Well everything is getting deleted minus cruise, regulator, and something else I can't remeber atm. Power steering is getting looped and the pump is getting deleted same with the AC system. Sick of looking at a tangled mess of everything under my hood. Head is getting picked up tonight.

    I have my head off and now is a good time to delete/cap a bunch of unnecessary vacuum stuff. I don't mind if my engine light is on I just want to clean my engine bay up. Let me know your input but as far as I know the only things that need vacuum are my cruise and fuel regulator. Anything else...

    Here are some possible causes, some probable, some rare. Turbo seals if boosted, valve stem seals or guide, crack in the head or cylinder wall allowing oil in, weak ring(s), im probably missing some tell-tale stuff but theres some stuff thrown out there. More than likely it's a valve problem...

    Exactly. I have an 87 and its like im not even driving. I cen't feel any details of the road and I hate it. This is what I plan on doing. Glad you posted and like it, gives me for confidence I won't be doing it just to hate it. Also, I don't live on a busy street so im good to go!

    As soon as I find time I plan on removing everything, Recirculating the lines so fluid is still flowing, and seeing what happens. Also found out I have a decent oil leak somewhere. +1 to the supra maintanance/to-do list... Thanks for the input gentlemen.

    Replace the steering wheel while keeping cruise?

    Really, have yet to see one. I will look into that though. Thanks. I was thinking more of just moving the buttons onto the dash somewhere or maybe center console. I guess I just need to pull off my steering wheel and take a look at the wiring and see if it is all fairly easy to relocate.

    Bypassing the Heater core?

    There should be a feed and return hose going through the firewall into the core. If you want to remove the core just chop off the hoses, get a barbed male fitting and two hose clamps and link the two lines. There are cleaner ways to do this but that is the main concept.
