She is finally down on her own two feet!! (hams old supra)

FYI this is what it looked like before I sold it... It was by far not a perfect car; but mechanically it was harmony. It needed nothing and was ridiculously fast. I should also note that it had ALL VIN's, and I purchased it from the original owner. :( And the interior...

She is finally down on her own two feet!! (hams old supra)

I'm very glad to know that my old car didn't end up in a junkyard; it was too nice of a chassis for that to happen to it. I hope it eventually finds itself back on the road again one day! - Hams

    87 hard top...

That is my old car. Sadly, I requested that I have first right to purchase the car back from the gentleman if he were to ever sell it. What makes me more sad is to see it in the condition it is in. I spent countless man hours and well over $35,000 to make the car what it was when I sold it; only...

Greddy Gauge install in Cluster!!! Pics inside

It would be very difficult to do this with the gauges angled because they would hit the lexan cover. The only way to angle them would be to sink them further into the cluster more, which would be very hard to do because it would cause mounting depth issues on the back. The oil temp and the oil...

Greddy Gauge install in Cluster!!! Pics inside

The factory gauge lexan cover is in place! I actually polished it out with 3M lexan polish so it's REALLY clear and non-reflective.

Greddy Gauge install in Cluster!!! Pics inside

Hello all, Just wanted to post up pictures of my installation of my Greddy 52mm v.2 gauges in the cluster. I installed water temp in the stock water temp location, oil pressure in the stock oil pressure location, and oil temperature in the stock boost gauge loacation. Additionally, I have a...

URGENT HELP NEEDED IN/AROUND LOS ANGELES

Hello, I am posting this thread for two fellow MKIII owners in dire need of help. I have two guys who purchased a MKIII today from another SF member and they were driving the car home... Their radiator has a hole in it and they are stranded at their grandmother's house on the north side of...

    Short shifter

I understand what you're saying. It is quite evident to me that the C's shifter is not a M12 x 1.25 thread pitch. I am asking if anyone knows what it is?

    Short shifter

For anyone who has the C's shifter... I've had mine for a bit now, and my TRD knob fits on it fine. I recently tried to screw on both of my Grex knobs that I previously used on my stock shifter, and neither of them would screw on. It seems the threads are a different pitch... I have the old...

    1JZ OR 2JZ? WHY?

The thread asked about why someone decided on a swap... I simply posted that given the chance to do things again, I would have swapped a 2JZ instead of a 1JZ. I'm not knocking any of the 3 motors, they are ALL good for various reasons.

    1JZ OR 2JZ? WHY?

For sure... All I have left of my 1JZ is the head and intake manifold. Looking back, spending $3200 on a clip was pretty silly on my part. I wish I had bought an Aristo cut and went from there. You live and you learn though. - Chris

    1JZ OR 2JZ? WHY?

I wish I had went 2JZ looking back. Sure, I'm 1.5JZ now, but I've spent too much to get there. If I were going to start from scratch, knowing what I do now, I'd just get a 2JZ. - Chris

    1JZ Clutch removal question

I have done it two different ways. One way is just as you describe. drop the tranny x-member and let the tranny rock the motor back. You can hit the top two bolts with long extensions and flex joints. The other way that I've been able to do it, and I actually find it easier, is to do this...
