I installed hard pipe from the turbo to the AFM. All hoses are connected except the BOV hose that vents to the intake. i wanted to finish up tomorrow so i go to start it up and it idles very low then stalls out. i checked all my vac lines and double checked and even took everything apart a 3rd...
So I'm sitting here ready to order a hard pipe set up and i'm stuck with this dreadful decision on adjustable or non-adjustable BOV. Any one have one they prefer over the other? Pros and cons of each?
It is a orange light all the way on the left side of the dash. Kinda looks like a cage.
Only came on making hard left turns. I start my car after two days of it sitting and the light stayed on.
This is great info. I just ordered a MBC myslef. I know how to hook up the MBC the regular way. How would i go about doing it the way you described in your write up? I assume you ignore the hose on the compressor housing and go straight to the intake?
I see alot of pics/vids of supras with just the fog lights and parking lights on. Mine how ever only turn on with the head lights on. Is this normal or do i have a short some where? If it is normal what is the best way to rerout/wire into?
I went ahead and purchased the filter and adapter. mounted everything along with an aluminium sheet i found in my garage that i cut and bent half circle over the new element. It's a nice day for a cruise. too bad i have to work. :(
i was going to get some aluminium sheets, give them a few coats of heat resistant paint and make a housing similar to the one that is already there. Also, is MAF cleaner safe to use on the AFM?
I decided against this. i didn't like where the aftermarket filter would be sitting. right next to the radiator and fan. For now i'll stick with stock and when i have some time off work i'll figure something out.
