Thats awesome that was my plan too I had a hx35 and full aem but I sold it off. I dont know what Im going to do who knows. I should probably go single theres no reason not too when you get down to it. Less crap in the way, and can make real power.
I was gathering parts together to go single and shoot for 550 or so but I decided to bail on that route. Just too much money to spend to do everything right. I was wondering about a more mild build and need to know about the stock ecu some. I had an aem so was researching that all this time...
What do you guys think I should do. Got the brand new hx35. Knife edged exhaust housing externally wastegated. Should I swap the housing for a bep .70ar with the 3 inch v band? Or run the stock housing. I really want to hit as close to 500 as possible on 93+ meth. You think the bep housing would...

Holset experts any idea if that exhaust housing is appropriate for a 1jz? I talked to the guy and am going there with cash ready to buy it just wanna make sure its not some giant exhaust housing. its external gated which is perfect for me!
380 to the wheels is damned impressive. Make me want to keep the twins. Send them to Albert get the larger internals and steel shafts. You guys think 450 on aem with cams is possible with meth injection? Would spool early and still rip overall.
For my goals I think I'd rather spend the cam/retainer money on the ball bearing upgrade on the dm turbos. Longer harder hitting power band. I think a bb 60-1 with 550 injectors will be a pretty good set up.
If I can get to 450 on the 60-1 walbro and 550 injectors I'd be happy as a clam. I wouldn't think cams are needed for that goal I know they add alot but my goals are fairly low.
I have a walbro 255 which is one of the reasons I want to stay under 500. Also over 500 everything starts getting expensive, clutch, injectors top feed fuel rail etc etc.
But ill have everything it takes for 450-500 just making sure get the smallest turbo I can and milk it to that range.
Im slowly acquiring the pile of parts i need to go single for my car. I plan to buy the driftnotion kit.
My question is with a goal of 450-500 with 500 as the absolute most which turbo should I go with the 57 or 60mm? Would the 57 be able to hit those numbers on pump gas. Id probably go with...
Does anyone know the record for a stock twin turbo equipped 1jz? I did some searching and it seems the quickest 1jz with the stock twins was in a Cressida and ran a 11.1 with a 150 shot.
