Yeah my CPS cover was cracked and the oring on the shaft was bad. Replaced both about 6 months ago or so. But I guess the shaft is getting idk worn. Cause there was oil in the unit tonight again when I took it off.
Replaced a bad gasket from the thermostat housing to the head, as well as a 90 degree coolant house the runs from the bottom of the housing that was ruined by oil from a leaking CPS. Feels great to have her back up and driving again even if it was only down 2 days. :biglaugh:
Oh and I...
I've been looking for some strut mounts for my supra with TEMs and seem to be having a hard time finding some that are for the adjustable suspension. I've found a lot with out TEMS and more for adapting TEMS to non-TEMS.
I've got a set of TOKICO Lumminas and I want to keep my TEMS. I mean...
I've seem to have a problem with my steering that I noticed not too long after I got my supra. If I turn my wheel all the way to one side while turning slowly, like in a parking lot I will get a loud snaping noise with a sort of upward jerking movement. I'm pretty sure It happens more often when...
So I got me one of the older style kits from Driftmotion, after a day of pulling out things and moving other things I got the intercooler all mounted up... Then I hit a wall of frustration I can't figure out witch pipe should come out the bottom of the turbo. It seems like I can either get one...
Hah thats what I was thinking of as well some nuts and washers and some rods of some sort.
Safety issue?? I don't see how that little grid of plastic supports anything other than the bottom plastic part "lip" of the bumper? And not really looking for power gains from cutting out the grid. Just...
Ohhh yeah I forgot I thought about leaving the 2 vertical struts towards the middle and seeing if that will hold. Maybe try to fill the back of the "struts" in to help support it.
got a link to that s2 air guide on shines site I can't seem to find it.
Or would adding a lip make it not sag...
I'm about to acquire one of those new style driftmotion intercoolers and I want to install it and cut out the grid in the front bumper. I think I've seen one picture of someones car where they did that, pretty sure it wasn't a body kit too. Would this look good? I plan to try my hand at filling...
Are you kidding me?
130.00 bucks... Is it that rare now? I was at 100.00 for a few days with it, witch was high but hey I really want one. But 130.00?????

Yes its already done with about 1200 miles on it since.
Is coolant in the oil a given with a blow gasket? Cause my oil seemed pretty normal when it was drained. And there was no milky residue on the radiator cap.
Awesome! just what I wanted to hear :biglaugh:.
Shes startin to really come back alive again, I'm lucky I got the car it Prolly would have been auctioned off and basically destroyed. It jumped around a few dealers with the blown head gasket for a long while. Probably why the last owner let...
way ahead of you... I've watched sale threads of his with angst for a while now.
Ok just to be completely clear here, the 57 trim will run like the regular stock CT26 if I bolt it on. So I can replace this crappy turbo with it? I really need to spend more time in the turbocharger section.
Bottom end too I'm guessing? We'll just have to see about that. But the top end was gone though pretty throughly. The head was done well, even had the both sides of the exhaust manifold milled. Only thing that looked like might cause problems was one of the cam shafts had some maring/small...
Alright heres the deal I just had a BHG fixed with 1200 miles on it. Had a family friend do it who's the head mechanic at a shipping company, and been doing work on the side for years think he was a trained Volkswagen technician long time ago......My family has had him do work for years, I think...
