ok got my map sensor in today and that did not fix it, still showing code 31. WTF is wrong I'm so close to taking it to a mechanic now.

ok so i'm gonna buy a new map. when i tested the sensor with a vacuum pump i wouldn't hold vac like the diaphragm is broken. so we will see what happens then.

yes that vacuum reading is in bar, but according to that website .47 bar is 6.8 psi, and .49 bar is 7.1 psi. not for sure if thats a good thing or not. But not to forget it did this on me the first day I had the car, but after leaving the battery off for almost a week it ran fine for 4 or 5 days...

Key on engine off- 2.63v engine running- 1.64v vac reading at idle- .47 - .49 thanks again man.

No its not the ECU either.check engine light still on but now just code 31- air flow meter signal. I'm about to check voltage at the MAP. will post when done. thanks again guys.

Well guys Jay just came over with another MAP and it still doesn't work. So we gonna try to swap the ECU i guess. Yea OneJ you might be right.

yea thats what i've been looking at. all forums say they are interchangeable the only problem is that its a $270 part.

Ok well thanks for all the insight guys. Turned out that the guy bypassed the clutch with some B/S wiring. Fixed that fired right up. But after a few days of driving the check engine light came back on and its not reving past like 2500. So i checked the codes and it gave me 31 and 34. Ok 31 is...
