I'm not going to argue with this, just state where I'm coming from. I do not believe the KS sensor was a bad purchase. I do see how just replacing random parts won't get me anywhere. I will start looking into the fuel pressure. And, not arguing, but my engine did indeed stay running while the...
I got a new knock sensor in today and installed it. At first it ran good still a little smokey, so I took it to get gas.started it again and it would idle for a second then die. So I get it home and go through what could be wrong. Still gives a code 51. We unplugged the fuel pump relay and the...
Alright guys. Touched my car for the first time since last week, yesterday. I wanted to test the continuity of the wire so I won't do all the work for nothing. My dad helped cus he tends to know more about that shit than me :nono: anyways we Hooked the voltmeter up to the KS connector and the...
lol yeah. I wish i could do it sooner, work gets in the way of everything! But yeah more than likely monday will be the day. But ive been doing a little prep work today..... i think my neighbors are tired of seeing my car on ramps ::dead horse::
So I guess I only have one knock sensor? I can only find one KS on my block. Here's a picture from back when the rebuild was done unless I'm missing something I only have one KS. But I thought 7m's are supposed to have 2? Somewhere around the starter. I don't mind only re-wiring one hahah, I'm...
I feel like I have. I know a lot more than I used to. I'm going to do the re-wire for the sensors. Hopefully ill be able to order the coax cables and connectors next week and then ill follow BoostedSupra's step by step write up... So I do it correctly haha
I got the new sensor in today I just installed it and the car runs the same as expected. So I got under the car and unplugged the KS. Engine still ran the same smoke and everything. So I know for sure it's the wire.
lol JJ if only i had the money id have done it a while ago, but id never learn anything about my car that way.::hang::
Just an update because i have more questions than awnsers. My fuel pump did indeed die so im not sure if that was part of the problem or what. Either way i dropped the tank...
Here is a picture of the intake as you asked although it doesnt look like anything has been tampered with And the air canister is partially melted because the previous owner drove the car with a BHG.
Air flow meter? I'm sorry but is that just the whole stock air intake? Ill have to take a picture tomorrow anyways. As far as what y'all are saying about the injectors being stuck open or just malfunctioning in general makes a lot of sense. When I drove it, it only took 60 miles to go through...
Just updating this, i have the car running again heres a link to the new thread http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?173640-Carbon-build-up-black-exhaust
Just a N/A 7m. Got my car running again after it sat for 7 months. replaced the fuel injector seals and the system has had new gasoline cycled through it. My problem is the car has a rough idle at 800 rpm and, as the title says, the exhaust is black. Also it would backfire every once in a while...
