The new setup with NO boost leak. The wastegate on this turbo blows! It's extremely stiff, and I'm still havin a bit of trouble getting the turbo to spool at a decent rate... Dyno run is comin next on the 14th @ Intec Racing!
Hey buddy!
Great news... I just got the new charge piping and intercooler installed, and should have it on the dyno in two weeks @ 19 psi. You mentioned you finally got your boost leaks fixed as well, so any updates on how it's running? I'll post pictures of the new setup in a day or so and...
I've heard that somebody on here rebuilds these as a hobby and can even change the backlights to whatever color is requested... If I can get some input for purchasing one, I'd be happy to give my business to you.

I'm done with this pointless argument, you were INCORRECT. I cordially asked your intent in one post, only for you to blow my courtesy back in my face with your overbearing attitude... Reread your posts and mine and realize NOWHERE did I mention anything of the sort about these accusations you...
Where was it your place to throw two cents in on a conversation between him and myself? And what/who the hell is OP anyways? Like I know the guy on a first name basis or something... So, "bullshit" aside, get a life and find something productive to do with your time beside talking other people...
HAHAHAHA, SPARE ME!! Obviously you're the only one allowed on here with solutions to problems you didn't even come across. But before your belligerent comments forecast any further, realize this common knowledge... My problem was different from his, and I simply gave my solution which has yet to...
Ebay has a pretty good straight pipe replacement that replaces the accordian and still mounts to the AFM. Hows your setup goin so far bud? Mine is doing really well, except now i cant keep the charge pipes from poping off under high boost. Time to upgrade the intercooler and get new piping so I...
I'm running the HKS EVCS. I've tuned alot of cars with manual controllers (not like its hard ;)) But my car seems to be running alot differently with the electronic controller. The motor seems to be very loud, and I don't get that "Supra Sound" of the GTE like normal. My analog boost gauge is...
Those are pretty awesome additions! In the pictures I showed how to solve the flapper door problem with safety wire. Simply take .40 gauge safety wire and tightly twist it in between the flapper and its counter-part. Simplistic and sturdy, and the flapper door will never get stuck again! I just...
Another cheap way to solve the "sticky" wastegate. When I bought mine, the wastegate would occasionally get stuck when it would actuate. Fixed that issue!
Aircraft maintenance... Who knew it would work so well on vehicles also?! ;)
Thanks for the input about the lines. I decided a different path, just ordered a set of steel braided off ebay. Hey, have you checked to make sure your wastegate closes properly? That could be the cause of your boost leak. I know you had the grub screw put in to prevent the arm nut from coming...
You must've misread my posting. I didn't say anything about blocking off the Coolant lines. I said to buy some tubing for radiator blow by. Here's what mine looks like....
Completed Project
I'm gonna solve all your problems right now Drew. There are a couple of guys on ebay that post "universal oil lines, 7MGTE." DON"T BUY THEM! The oil lines you need are on this uplink...
Yes I have. Ill get pictures of the completion as soon as I can figure out how to post them. ;) the final product was very nice I think, and if you want pictures of the whole assembling process, feel free to shoot me an email and I'll be happy to post em!

I did a little research. T61 T3, and most T4 turbos for the 7mgte are handled using the oil lines posted at this website. Direct fit, and very easy to install. As weird as it sounds, it was easier for me to install the new turbo then it was to pull off the stock one...
Alright, so I just bought a T61 and the stock oil lines dont match up. I bought an aftermarket set of lines on ebay that are supposed to match up to the turbo, but I'm still finding myself stuck. Any ideas for how to run the lines?
