The new FRS and BRZ what do you think of these to tiwn cars?

The one you saw at Laguna Seca is one of the Formula D cars for Ken Gushi. They showed the race ready version at NAIAS today. It is confirmed to be EJ25 powered. New WRC rules call for a 1.6L not 2.0L, hence the 1.6 DIT engine that Subaru had on display at TMS in November. I wouldn't be...

The new FRS and BRZ what do you think of these to tiwn cars?

Maybe in a year or two, but both companies have been quoted very clearly saying that there will be no Turbo production version of this car.

The new FRS and BRZ what do you think of these to tiwn cars?

Neither is getting forced induction. Both will be N/A, the goal of the car being lightweight, RWD, 6 speed, responsive handling, and very affordable. Price tag is expected to be under $25k. Weight should be around 2700lbs, I realize this doesnt' seem all that light when looking at cars from the...

Help to diagnose strange problem with the Tahoe

I'd say go ahead and drop the tank. I had a similar problem with one of my 240SX's, rubber lines replaced, fuel pump replaced, sock, filter, injector O-rings, all replaced. Turns out there was just enough trash in the tank that after a few miles of running under load the sock would get clogged...

Help to diagnose strange problem with the Tahoe

You said the fuel pump and filter were replaced, did you mean the fuel filter along the fuel lines from the tank to the engine, or the fuel sock on the pump itself? What you described really sounds like a clogged or overheating fuelpump, which could be caused by trash in the tank. In fact, you...

28 December, 2011 Got a little bit done today. Properly mounted the intercooler to ensure there are no piping fitment issues, plenty of headlight clearance, and the intercooler shouldn't be hanging below the bumper. I also fabricated lower brackets to help stabilize the FMIC, they're currently...

24 July, 2011 Getting ready to pull the old rear end out. Dust, dirty, open differential and tiny brakes, boo New rear end is in, with the z32 e-brake functional, then I ran out of motivation for the day. Now, progress stopped for several months at this point. On July 25th, I...

17 July, 2011 That was a fairly productive day. I got the radiator properly mounted, radiator hoses on the car, half of the holes cut for the intercooler piping, one of the Z32/r33 e-brake cables installed, new pads and rotor on one of the z32 rear brakes, 3rd brake light installed, I'm beat...

First coat of VHT, she got the second and third coats, and is curing now. 11 July, 2011 Crappy cell phone pics This one is a bit better. The letters will need a light sanding to be perfect after the VHT fully cures, but I'm pretty happy with the results.
