Just so this doesn't stay an open issue, I finally figured out the fuel pump was running on low voltage the whole damn time. Gave it constant 12v and problem fixed, thanks to all who chimed in to lend a hand.
I think this whole statement is BS! I'm calling myself out!
I finally figured it out and it was the silliest crap, I had heard about the "12v mod" but never looked into it. I guess whatever makes the fuel pump switch from low voltage to high is not present so I jumped the fuel pump resistor...
Ok...so my speedo didn't work before and so I replaced my speedo cable last night and it definetely feels a lot better. It still feels like it pulls back during WOT but not as bad as it was. I think now is leaning out and pulling timing, the sound of the car under WOT is completely different...
The car:
1991 Supra Originally 7MGTE Automatic
Now 2JZGTE Aristo with a R154
Single T67
Factory ECU
Factory Injectors
USDM Cams
Factory 7MGTE Fuel Pump
If there is no speed sensor signal from the cluster speed sensor to the ECU what or how would the car behave?
Its the oddest thing though, it idles perfect. It runs great,no misfires or anything as long as I drive it normal but as soon as I give it full throttle it feels like I'm stepping on the brakes literally. Something is definately wrong. I've been putting up with it for 9 months now buyt its...
The car is a 91 Supra running a single turbo Aristo swap. It's been running now for about 9 months with no major tuning issues. I'm rocking the factory ecu.
The problem im running into is that I can't floor it, everytime I give ot 100% throttle it falls on its face. I've done some research...
Ok so I've been driving the car for about 3 months now with no major issues. I am using the ac compressor the swap came with and have had no issues with it (it is very nice and cold) the only other problems I've had is the alternator which I upgraded to a 100amp and the crackshaft damper which...
I finally received it Tuesday, he ended up overnighting it for me so I'm happy I received it when he finally promised he would send it. Though I'm sure it cost him an arm and a leg to overnight from CA to FL. In other news, it did start on the first try after my dumbass called Sean back and...
I posted this thread so that people would know about my experience and to see if anybody else had the same experience with him. To be honest, I did some research about him before I sent the harness and could not find any baad comments or reviews about his work. Apparently I didn't look hard...
Update....
I spoke with Sean last night and I gotta say he was very professional, apologized for the delay gave me a few pointers regarding the harness and refused to take any more money from me for the extra freight. That being said, I felt almost bad about posting this online but then I...
Ok so, I just spoke with him and he said he would send it today again, I still have not even raised my voice at him since I'm afraid he would really take his time then. I did push a little harder and even offered to help pay any extra freight to get it here sooner. He declined any extra money...
