Rebuilding rears is pretty easy. Just need the proper gauges. I'm sure any transmission shop would do it, basically any reputable shop. It would probably be a better option to buy a new one with what ratio you want, installation is easy.

it would cost around 200-250 instead of 500. it won't look the prettiest towards the flange since it won't be straight completely, but it'd sure be stronger and cheaper.

i know, like i said i'd have a vvti flange and a regular jz manifold with the flange cut off, then cut the runners and route them to the flange. i'll have to do some more research and have my buddy do a CAD of it.
