i've reread this old thread again, as i'm about to get started on this much needed hood vent. i've seen a couple of inserts from various cars that might work, and of course i could just cut up the hood like this thread details. for those of us who've used inserts, what cars did they come...

just out of curiosity, why would u need two aftermarket bov's? I was under the impression that you usually had one, n removed the stock bypass valve.. ;)

My car's been down for over 2 mths with a cracked head, and this (latest) head that i've acquired turned out to have cracked valve stems (did i get that description correct?) is there anyway to repair these? i'm desperate to get the car running... any help is appreciated... :P cheers...

hi folks, the scenario is this: i've cracked the head on my 2JZGTE, and am now awaiting the arrival of a complete head assembly. now i've chanced upon a head (fortunately or not..) with cams, BUT its missing the camshaft caps. i'm just wondering if theres even a chance the the caps off...

i capped both up too! ive always wondewred whether it would impede performance in anyway? :)

hmm..i'm suspecting some sensor as well. thanx for all the advice.. it may be useful to the shop as we investigate this crazy phenomenon.they've been investgating the fuel delivery system as well.... hopefully something turns up..its weird, that there doesnt seemt o be anythin else wrong...just...

Hi folks, I'm experiencing a strange phenomenon, that the boost only gets up to 0.5 bar on second gear! First gear, it boosts to 1 bar seemingly without prob, but doesn't get beyond 0.5 at second. Any ideas? I've got an Aristo 2J in, with usdm turbos (550 injectors pending, due to suspect...

necrocyde: is there a difference in the water pumps between the 2 versions? i've always eondered about that, cos as i said earlier, my hydro-fan got deleted :).. how do you guys who've used the aristo 2JZ get around this? :P

yup. i used an oil specific to LSD's. the shop opened up the case to check the insides, and i was told that the LSD was working ok, no whining noises etc.. i didnt think a 30 mile drive would be the straw that broke its back...:-( groan... maybe i should change to a ddifferent oil? what do...

thanx for some good comments! are there variations of the stock Mk 4 Denso pump mentioned? or all years will fit? i'm thinking my fuel pump is already audibly noisy... looks like its "time"...:)
