    I would at the least pull the oil pan and look at the internals. If all seemed well and you just had rod knock I would put in some new rod bearings and do several oil changes in a short time period to get any funk out of the motor.

    start off simple, check the obvious. Do you have enough oil in your motor? Does the tick knock seem to speed up or get louder as you rev the engine? You might try draining the oil and running some slightly thicker synthetic through your engine. what would be even better is if you did that and...
