Andrew, I am not doubting you, but I'd like to see some pictures of what you are talking about. In my situation, there was NO WAY the harness was going to reach the ECU unless I moved the ECU to the engine bay (not gonna happen) or lengthened the wires.

There is no way my harness would have reached the ECU, even with another hole closer to the ECU. I had to extend mine by almost exactly 13".
