Rebuilt the brake calipers and got some new wheels and tyres.
KYB shocks and some lowering springs.
Next investement is going to be new B pillar vent covers, mouldings for the roof rails, the rear window and quarter windows.
Doesnt the Auto ecu send a pattern on-of code through a few wires to the TCU to tell it how much throttle % you have? I bet it's not like that on the manual ecu.
I got the same issue, 7M-GTE swapped to a a 1JZ vvti. IG- on the diagnostics connector has no signal, NE i get a nice 4.7 volts pulse on the scope, which doesnt seem enough to drive the tach.
Does anyone have a diagram that shows where a 1JZ vvti gets the IG- from?
I get dtc's for spd1 not being fed back to ecu (speedlimiter at 180km/h if i do) and the fuel computer of the chaser not being in the car. That adn the fact i disabled the abs :-)

And yes, after getting rodbearing issues it was time to be smart and make the 1JZ...
After mailing back and forth a bit their conclusion was that somehow i had an older auto type under the car which has a shorter shaft than the later ones.
I paid for shipping it back and they sent me a shorter one back which fits perfect.
You're using this with a front mount left-right intercooler? The welded one goes behind the towhook on the left (sitting in the car) and then up.
I even had to shorten and reweld my pipe that went up and into the intake plenum.
I'm running this engine with the original A340E and using the old transmission control unit.
The gearbox shifts fine and holds (shimmed).
When pulling in D , it goes throug first gear like mad, then shifting to second it cuts the power a lot.
When manualy driving in L and then shifting to 2...
