    How about a V8 supra

seen a few 3UZ swaps more recently into things like IS300's, MKIV's, and even a Lexus Wagon. I also read that the 3UZ longblock is 60lbs lighter than the 2jz longblock (no turbos or manifold), so it'd be a tremendous weight reduction compared to the 7m. Pair that with a Getrag from the MKIV and...

Auto Tranny Cold Shift Mode? Hard Shifting

I think the main reason you wouldn't want to mix them is because it will screw up your service interval. If you're using dex II, you can follow the Toyota manual. Service intervals are different for Dex III, but if you mix them then it can be unclear as to when the fluid should be serviced. Its...

Auto Tranny Cold Shift Mode? Hard Shifting

thats very much a posibility. I bought the car less than a year ago, and was told that the previous owner, while the only one, was rather neglectful. It already has a JDM bottom with "40,000 miles" because the old owner practically let the thing run dry (two quarts or more i was told). I am...

Auto Tranny Cold Shift Mode? Hard Shifting

I have checked both adjustments in the past, according to the TSRM, trying to diagnose another problem. At the moment, i know the throttle is correct, and the shift lever functions as it should, i do not feel that it is out of adjustment, but i will follow the procedure and adjust again to...

Auto Tranny Cold Shift Mode? Hard Shifting

I just had the trans flushed by a local mechanic, and he assured me that they fluchsed everything, not just a top-off. However, i woudln't be surprised if he filled the whole trans with dex III. would that cause the same issue? Like i said before, it feels like the accumulators are preloaded to...

Auto Tranny Cold Shift Mode? Hard Shifting

when the car is first fired up, and put into reverse with the brake pedal depressed, is there a really hard lurch? Mine started doing this as temps here in Tucson are starting to warm up (strange.) Or is this issue caused by something else entirely? By hard, it would seem as though i'm neutral...

7mge remove emissons stuff possiable issues?

the sensor on the EGR is the EGR Temp sensor. It is a california only piece, and when you remove the EGR you must put resistance in place of the sensor, otherwise your CEL will remain on, and it does put it in limp mode. 10K ohms is working just fine for me.

    Hailing from Tucson, AZ

Hey all. Been lurking around the site, mainly just looking at what others are doing to their supras and the like. I'm 18, and the Supra was my first car. Paid 2500 dollars, and have since spent nearly as much getting it back to OEM condition (sorta). The car has a JDM bottom end (7mge), k&n...

    lighter

Mine used to not work as well. I just dismissed it, but upon pulling my dash out to install my Alpine, i saw that the conector had simply disconnected. Simple. I'd check that if it isn't a blown fuse.
