Walker you lucky son of a gun! I've been trying to get that guy to sell me the armrest out of that car for the past year but he wouldn't budge; only wanted to sell whole and he want too much for it. I notice too this week the shop was closed and all the cars were gone so I was going to call to...
So is this the Supra I see parked over by the base dorms under the car cover. I could tell it was a Sup by the sawblades; either way clean ride. I can't wait to get mine back on the road next month hopefully.
Congrats on the find.:icon_bigg I haven't forgot about you and the motor. You should have swung by when you came through and you could have checked it out and took it for a spin.
Welcome back to the supra world. Once you get a supra hit you're hooked. I guess I'll be seeing my twin in the streets soon since I have a black 91gte. Hit me up sometime and we can meet. I'm pulling the motor out of mine when the weather breaks and we're installing my 1jz; so I got a motor for you!
The supra I bought had some ZX wheels on it from the previous owner; not too bad since I'll probably keep them for winter wheels. Here's a link from that owners cardomain page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/398806/2
I've got a Tanabe SHM exhaust that we pulled off of my 89. It's pretty much still new because I didn't get a chance to drive it alot before I parted the car. I'll probably have it up for sale in a few weeks after I separate it and box it up. My 91 has an RSR GT on it so I think I'll stay with it.
Welcome to the moneypit world of the supra. I'm in the GA also and have almost a complete interior out of an 91 laying around. So if you're interested PM me and we can work out some deals.
I got a new set of Work VS-SS wheels 17x7.5 +41 front and 17x8.5 +41 back sitting around and wanted to know what size tires u recommend. I know they're not the ideal setup for the Supra but I guess better than stock.
They make a kit for the MR2 seen here http://www.revision6.com/forms/Product.aspx?ID=298
I thought about trying these but I wonder how many more mods would be needed to work on the Supra. At over $600 I may stick with the old squares for now.
I'm in the middle of an interior swap and was wondering if there was a way of getting the front, middle and rear headliner off without damaging it. Are they glued to the roof or held on with clips? Has any one done this?:1zhelp:
I've got a set of SF1's on my 89 and yeah they 're really stiff. You get use to the ride over time if used for a daily driver but better suited for the track, so if you have rough streets where you live you may want to consider other options.
If you come up with anything let me know. I let a local shop do my 89 auto swap and it still has some issues. I have to manually shift from L,2 to D when leaving from a stop. It doesn't want to upshift in D, even after replacing 1&2 seleniods and stays in 3rd after going to D so it's not going...
