Check the bottom end. I've owned a 95 Tsi awd and a 96 Tsi awd. And experienced crankwalk with both of them. Also u might consider rebuilding the transmission. They weren't nicknamed " glass transmission" for fun. Lol. But good luck

still on bov topic, but a question about venting bov to atmosphere. would that cause any problems with stock afm? stalling, etc...? i know it did when i had my talon just wondering if the same principle applies here
here is mine had the spare removed and used the spare well for the sub enclosure. the whole thing sits about 3in about the hatch floor and the targa top fits with room to spare
