I was wondering what turbo you guys go with. I want a decently laggy turbo yet still a streetable setup on a stock 7m (for now). Something about a supra with lag and then getting it handled really intrigues me. Thanks for your suggestions.
Does anyone know the differences in auto transmissions for the supra? My friend ordered one for his n/a 87 and his new one has 4 plugs on the trans (they are grey) and his old one has three.
Who is your preference to have rebuild your turbo? I have a 60-1 with like 7 miles on it and the turbine moves only at wot and does not create any positive pressure.
A friend of mine is doing a 2jzge to 2jzgte swap in his 93 supra and the oil pans are different (sump position). What oil pans come with what cars? He says he ordered a mkIV 2j but the pans are different, I thought they would be the same so I think he got the engine from a different car.
Well my friend has an auto 86.5 and he replaced the starter and it won't start. When you go to turn the key it just sounds like a relay is clicking right when you turn the key. The battery is at 12.5 volts. The starter has two conections, the one from the battery directly to the starter( bolt...
nut size on the compressor side? What socket do you get to take it off? Just installed an upgraded ct26 and it does not spin until you rev it up so could the nut possibly be to tight?
Well my friend has a auto n/a supra (86.5 I think) and when he drives it it shifts very soon whether it be WOT or barely any. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance and btw there isn't any trans codes.
I noticed today while parking my car after trying to figure out my boost leaks that when I parked the car it made like a camp fire noise after I shut it off. I just wanted some opinions on this to see what it was. It wasn't overheating or anything but the smell of whatever was burning was sooooo...
Okay its that time to pull the turbo off. What other things should I get well I pull it off? I was thinking about ordering the oil line kit from mdc. Would this make instalation/ removal easier next time? I have just heard that removal is a pain. Thanks for the input.
Well the good ol ct26 has taken a dump on me. I have a T4 sittin around, should I spend the extra money and throw this on or just rebuild the Ct26. RIght now I don't have any crazy big plans for the car yet. Just wanting some help with my descision. Thanks..
When I am driving I hear a "tinging" noise but only when the car is moving. Any thoughts on it? My snap ring on the back of the side closest to the motor on the hub release bearing keeps popping off. I have bought new snap rings and now I just ordered a new hub release bearing. Do you think this...
I know that the Supra lug pattern is 5x114.3. Just wondering what other cars have the same lug so I can be on the prowl for some wheels. I think Eclipse's etc. have the same lug as well. Could I use those wheels?
Okay, I finally got it torn apart. My throw out bearing was busted. So I get it back together last night and it drove fine, a little hard to go into gear but it was still fun. Well I park it and go to drive it to go wash it and it grinded. I pumped the clutch pedal and I heard something let go...
Would any of you guys be interested in a meet sometime over the summer? Throw in some ideas and post where you are from. I was thinking maybe sometime in the summer we could all meet up in Boise, Id. and hang out then maybe go to the track and race. Just a suggestion.
Just wondering on where I could buy a stock clutch for my car (r154) or an equivelant to stock. Just needing somethin not that performance minded to get around because I don't have any plans to make the supra a monster (yet).
I was just wondering who would rather pull the motor and trans opposed to pulling just the trans when doin clutch work. I just got my mk3 t and started the tear down to fix some clutch problems. When you push the pedal the fork sounds like it is grinding on something and it starts to bog the...
