I just got my new jdm motor put in about a month ago, she's been running great! Now, this winter i want to put it up and tear it down again and start on my 500 hp build. It will prolly take me til next summer but o'well. Anyway she's currently all stock pushing at exactly 7psi. I just took it...
The name's Nate, from central Illinois. I'll have meh supra up n' running here in a couple weeks. I planned on taking a big cruise so i figured if anyone in the Illinois area would like to meet up and cruise to no destination, that'd be pretty sweet. It'd be nice to get a few peeps involved to...
So my question is would i be ok just resurfacing the head and a mhg? or should i do anything to the block? It might need planed but i'm not that far yet. and what about internals? i don't plan on boosting over 15 psi for a while once she's put back together and don't really have the money for...
So i think i might have a blown head gasket...But i don't have antifreeze in my oil, no leaks anywhere, but it's still somehow burning anti freeze. i thought about the intake gasket but idk that much about this car. my buddy said it could be a sensor, i forgot what he called it but he said it...
first, i'm changing a blown head gasket, so do you recommend i get an oem replacement or a mhg?
second, if i get a ddp will it fit to my stock exhaust?
and lastly, should i stick with conventional or use synthetic oil?
Yup bhg. And I'm pretty positive it's that because there's an overwhelming amnout of smoke comming out of my exhaust. And the oil
is like milk chocolate. I'm certain what caused it was the ride home the da I got the supra. It was a rainy 4 hour drive. And if anyone remembers this an 87 7mgte...
is there an easy way im missin here? i crawled under there and can't seem to reach the bolts for anything. i could get the one on bottom but the other one i can't even see let alone get to..
i opened up the green connector to the cps and one end was the 4 pins and the other was the connections. my question is, is there a way to fix the cps connector by soldering? i don't have much skill with wires and pins so what would i have to do? im pretty sure it's getting a bad connection...
one was the tps, and the other was the thermostat sensor. would the tps keep my car from running? and how would i go about fixing that? my car is being weird, it likes to start random times and most of the times it just cranks without starting. somehow it's not getting fuel, any suggestions?
it's cranking but it's not starting. It started fine earlyier but now it's not. Any suggestions?!? I think rhe batterys good, it's getting spark I think so idk =[.
so I just got my supra yesterday =]... Anywho it was sitting for some years now, but it has been ran the last couple months before I gotit a couple times. So I went to get it yesterday and the guy did an oil change for me before the 3 hour drive back. He put 5w 30 in it this time to break the...
so im getting my supra sunday and i am gonna tear some of it apart and super detail everything. but with the engine im wondering, would it be ok to spray some degreaser everywhere and just spray it down? should i cover up the turbo and air box?
im getting an 87 auto turbo here in a couple weeks, the engine was rebuilt has about 50k miles. it's all stock. here's what i got in mind, i want to get the apexi power intake system, then 3" divorced downpipe, after that any tips for a good exhaust system setup?? then i plan on getting a boost...
but it's been sitting for 4 years. I test drove it and It still runs like a champ. The oil needs changed, but other than that what else should I do to it? It only has 50,000 miles on the engine btw. Stock. Any suggestions as to what I should do upgrade wise?
is it worth it? i mean im getting a 7mgte with a 5 speed swap sooner or later, but right now this is all i have to mess with, so would it take allot to put a small turbo on there? i know intercooler, headgasket, etc.. but how much would i be looking at in the end?
