After a BHG, I decided to rebuild my engine, and right now the head is going to be prepped for +1mm valves,
BUT that is were I am stuck.

i am in denial about this possible issue. Help me clarify this issue, please.
My car is a 1987 Turbo 5 speed(R154) converted from auto and with about 119,000 miles on it.

Do i need it since i dont have the EGR setup? also can i just remove it along with the charcoal canister, or do i need the canister along with the BVSV (Bimetallic Vacuum Switching Valve)?

after doing some research i found that the code 24 is for Intake Air Temp sensor signal and the causes are:
-Intake air temp. sensor circuit
-Intake air temp. sensor
-ECU...
today i just finished with the r154 swap and while i test driving it, i notice that my turn signals dont work at all either outside or in the dash but the lights are on, on the outside but they dont blink.
Tomorrow i will start checking it, but i wanted to ask if anyone has had the same issue...
