r154 leaking

okay guys. my tranny is leaking on the bottom where the 2 halves meet. is it easy to take it apart and put new sealant or do i need to take it to a transmission shop and have them do it. any idea how much it is to rebuild, basically just replacing the thrust washer? tia?
