Dude, wow, dude. Was going to comment about where the gorilla with the welding torch was that did that shit, but I'm just shocked.
So, what is the "liability" statute for taking OUT the rad?
Alum rads are only good for 1/4mile. No wonder there are so many of 'em in performance...
Same thought I had. I'd like to see if anyone's doing them cheaper, it would look nice with that and the rear visor put together.
The full louver just looks like it's too much for weight and appearance to me, whereas the side louvers set off the rear end nicely.
Unfortunately, there isn't one really. There is only ONE guy making those, and he's out of the UK. I think he makes them only occasionally and sells them on eBay UK, but he'll ship out anywhere.
This thread has the potential for some serious win. I would like to see how to squeeze more power from the auto tranny like that. Also would like to see prices posted and some detailed instructions on how it was done or where to go for the specialty stuff.
Great read! +1
Well, I did some in-depth reading here on SM and pulled the trigger on a few things. I decided to buy some NGK plugs, NGK wires, and a K&N FIPK, and will do my work tomorrow when the sun is shining (no garage to work with, FTL!). Since I'll be doing the plugs, I also bought a compression test...
My concern was how rainwater on the louvers block vision somewhat. With the glass clear the rear wiper would sweep all that water away.
Pics of the rear glass in the rain (or waterhose) with those on would be helpful as well.
Another note on the louvers: Some people had fitment problems...
Here they are...

These are plastic, and there were JDM ones that were discontinued some time ago that were metal, but those were order direct I think from Japan. I personally don't like that much of my rear glass covered like that, so I won't...
Please, PLEASE don't use any Stop Leak products. What they do to heater cores and radiators is not good. You will more than likely end up replacing parts of your coolant system you didn't have problems with before you poured in that crap.
Uhhhh..... Didn't kids in 'da hood do this before? Something like putting playing cards in the spokes of a bicycle wheel for that added "motor" effect?
