Hi, everyone! I have starting problem on my '87T. When I'm gonna to fire (especially when my car stand for a few hours), starter turns engine well, but when it should fire one of cylinders, looks like big voltage drop, so the engine do not start, but I hear sound of one or two wroking cylinders...

another question: should rodknock go out, if I will disconnect sparkplug wire (one by one for each cylinder)?

Thank you. Another question: can I check wiring by grounding wire, that goes on sender? I suppose, that if wiring is good, gauge on the dash should show overheat, when grounding wire - am I right?

Hello. My stock coolant gauge (on '87T) doesn't working (it always shows very cold temp), so I have 2 questions: 1). Where is located sender for this gauge? (I saw picture with sensors here, but cant find it now) 2). Have you any ideas, what causes that trouble? Thank you :-)

Well, my engine (7M-GTE) is in machine shop now, and they say, that I need new rod (for 6th cylinder). But I have BHG, may be there was water in cyl, and it caused bent(i think) rod... to 89mkthree: in what cylinder do you have bent con-rod?

One of cylinders (master or slave) is leaking. Or may be both of them ;-)

Does "battery light" come on, when you turn ignition key, but not starting engine? If not - check fusible links and connectors (near left driver's foot). If light comes on, check your alternator itself. PS: you may also check charging system by measuring voltage on alternator's plug...
