No compression could mean a whole lot of things.
Could mean a hole in the piston in the cylinder that you tested.
It could also mean that your valves stay open for some reason [I have seen broken camshafts before].
The oil that you explained, is a bad sign, that much is for sure.
To have low...
It would be a lot easier on me if it happened every single time... today I couldn't get it to happen once, not even a single time, where as the other day it happened all day long.
Just to rule things out, I am going to go out and buy some of those really high quality battery terminals - the...
I looked into my problem some more today, and couldn't get it to happen for me once again...
I don't understand it - I know that my problem isn't gone simply because I took off some of my trim pieces and reinstalled them... lol.
My battery isn't even a month old yet, and I have a multi-meter...
The cables were corroded inside.. by that do you mean that your terminals were corroded - as in the part that fits onto the post, or by that do you mean that the wires that lead say to the engine block were actually corroded underneath the shielding of the wire?
Yeah, that is just my luck. Used to happen all the time at the dealership to me, and no one else it seemed like...
Once I even had a field tech come in to help me diagnose a really strange problem with a Camry [it would run for literally like fifteen minutes idling no problem, and then just...
I just finished pulling off the lower cover of where the ignition switch is.. and I was surprised to find that none of my connections looked burnt. The sad part of taking all of that apart was the simple fact that when I went to poke around looking for the problem... I couldn't get it to...
I haven't gotten the chance to look at the car today due to a whole lot of rain, but there is something that I have forgotten to mention. Whenever I lose power after going to crank, my radio presets actually delete themselves as if I have pulled the battery out entirely... it kinda throws me...
No power ANYWHERE. It is way too intermittent for it to be the alarm... I am thinking that it must be the ignition switch.. I will replace it soon.
Haha, I haven't beaten on my brand new battery... so I know that isn't the problem.
Yeah yanking on things... usually doesn't turn out well, but I have encountered a few parts on other cars, where yanking on something, is the only way to get it off :aigo:
I will look into this ignition problem later today... will post if I find anything abnormal.
If I were ever harassed on such a level by any group I would be more than tempted to use their lovely "tactics" right back on them. That video SC posted just filled me with pure disgust.
Sea kittens... I will think of this the next time I am scarfing down some fish :biglaugh:
It is the simple fact that I have a few horror stories on tearing apart dashes... there is a lot more to be harmed inside the car than under the hood of one... it seems like everything is more fragile... clips break frequently, and things come out easily and they don't seem to ever want to go...
Factory alarm is still installed on my car - and from what I know - is in working order... I had it go off on me a few times after having it jimmied before and stuff.... wasn't too big of a deal to just reset.
I will have to look up in there when daylight comes tomorrow, I should have looked...
Only sometimes this happens, and it is getting to be more often instead of less - I can start turning my ignition to the crank position and I will have everything working like normal but when I actually get to the crank position everything goes out - and when I return to the ACC everything is...
