pulling my car into the shop right now to take measurements....
darn...guess you cant take the arms off without having to have it realigned...it shall wait
it would take forever for that sleeve to wear...suspension arms don't move often enough or fast enough to generate heat either that would cause wear so a ball bearing would be a waist and you would never notice the diff.
Being a machinist myself also I have thought about it and asked...
I highly doubt you will snap it even with slicks...even if you do be glad you snap a $360 part and not a $1000 rearend...its always good to have a weak link that is affordable to save from breaking more expensive and harder to repair parts!
if I knew it was a joke I could laugh at how retarded it is...if I knew it wasnt a joke I could laugh at the ignorance of (homebread)...but really have no clue if its a hoax cause April 1 has come and gone...right now its not funny
I hope your talking MM and not inches.... .20 is two hundred thousanths of an inch...... .020 is twenty thousandths.... .20 is one hell of an over bore lol.
al drives would be great for road raceing not so much for drag....but shaft masters backs there drive shafts and swear by them and they do say for off road use only so if you break it I'm sure they will make it right somehow.
look homebread...talking like a retard isnt going to get you much help....talk normal and re ask your question in english and not wannabe ebonics and we may decide to help your newb ass..
Or you can go wash your OIL filter...but make sure to fill the filter with and abrasive such as sand and...
Yo yo G dawg... Ya dun reuse oil filtas yo.. Theys one time use G... You'd gots toss that burner and skife yous a new ones.
Seriously dude....if this is for real I recomend you sell your car before you blow the motor!
good deal but is your flywheel's surface nice and clean, no burn marks, high spots, tinny cracks.... Cause those will eat a clutch and spit it out! Should have it resurfaced if it has imperfections like that.... I'd atleast run a honeing stone over it by hand.
Exactly... I fail at makeing that clear my bad.... Down shifting at low rpm should be smooth as can be....but if your at 4500 rpm trying to get into second its not gonna wanna go in very easy and its hard on the syncs.
I'm sorry?
And as far as what I said... I mean this in the most extream case like raceing...not for driveing around town!
And no I use regular gear oil...
damn near all manual transmissions have trouble down shifting into first and second... This you can't avoid unless you (what I believe you call it) double clutch... Meaning that when going down a gear you: 1. Clutch in 2. Pull out of gear 3. Blip throttle real quick to raise engine rpm to...
I take it your not running a metal head gasket? If it was only rebuilt once and they used a regular head gasket then I doubt the deck was done... They may have ran a stone over it to dress it up but that wouldnt make a difference... Sounds to me like your set and kinda stressing yourself out...
that I have no idea!! How much metal came off the deck? If it is only a few mm then I doubt its much issue..if it was only decked to clean up then I can't see them takeing off much more then .50 mm which isnt that much and I doubt that would even show on a dyno!
My advice to you is take the flywheel and pressure plate and have it surfaced (if possible) and balanced and then put it in and forget about it...I have had 4 flywheels done by NAPA and never ever had an issue...I've also machines my own flywheel but I don't recomend that! Most auto machine...
If the flywheel has been resurfaced before then it may be scrap now.. You there is only so much material you can take off and so if its been done once before then you may need another one.... You can only regrind it so much... Your best bet is to find the toyota specs on resurfaceing and have...
he trans helps stop the motor from rocking but if you support it some how and don't rev the shit out of it it maybe fine... Should never rev a motor without resistance in the crank...
I personally wouldn't do it.
