Daddys babys getting a new EMS

Qwik how about crimping...I would forgo soldering in the area that the wires attach to the pins. Soldering will cause a stress point at the soldering area. Also to add.. NippoDenso uses similiar electrical pins that Bosch does so they might be made to work. Of course if push comes to...

EMS: Stinger vs MegaSquirt vs AEM vs ?

ahh good to see that I am not the only one that thinks knock sensing is an oxymoron. That is exactly like saying "bomb explosion" detection....... gee the bomb most go off for it to be detected. :dunno: I run a motec. It has knock detection capabilities but to use it one must capture the...

Daddys babys getting a new EMS

Correct that why you would use some Raychem DR-25 on the wiring to protect it even further. You do not need to though. Just depends on the environment. I know in the aviation world no sheathing was ever used. Just tefzel based wire ;)

Daddys babys getting a new EMS

actually wrong knowing wolf the harness they include is Tefzel based. In the harness world.. Tefzel is were the buck stops. It don't get much better in wires for shear environmental survivability and abrassiveness resistance than that.

    FFI no ISC and standalone

    Spark plugs, I'm stuck :(

yep!! that is because they are for the MKIV which uses an ISO height (50.5mm/1.98")and the MKIII uses a JIS height (53mm/2.086"). That height difference is critical and might be the cause for alot of folks erratic idle ;)

Well no fire and just a busted block... easily remedied. And manufacturing defect... at nearly triple the pintended power? somehow I doubt it ;) My advise. pistons and cranks probably still good. The rods can be replaced with pauter or what ever company of your choosing.
