ok so my solution to this "lake of oil in the galley" problem was putting some good hardening rtv around the sealing point of the hex bolts. seems pretty logical to work. i'm so surprised that this hasn't come up at all in all my time here on supramania

if i dont find a replacement number 3 cylinder head cover, would putting O rings on the hex bolts that hold it on keep the oil in?

yes, im surprised this is the only response about the no.3 cover. i just noticed the same thing when i started some work today and it looks like it was leaking from where the big ass bolts go. is there a gasket for thing cover thing? is this a commonly stocked product, or do i have no choice...
